Trial ·
Skool’s free trial is 14 days. Then it bills unless you cancel.
New group owners get 14 days free on Hobby or Pro. There is no coupon code to type. Add a payment method, build the group, and cancel in Billing before the trial converts if you don’t want Hobby at $9/month or Pro at $99/month. Skool’s terms: owner subscription payments are not refunded after they run.
There is no Skool promo code
Coupon sites list 40% off, 50% off, “SKOOL2026.” Skool’s checkout is a plan picker, not a code field. The two real discounts are this trial and yearly billing (2 months free).
How to start
Open this signup
Use the button on this site so you land on Skool with the invite attached. Going to skool.com cold still shows a trial — this link is the one to use from here.
Create the account
Email you actually check. You’re signing up as a group owner, not joining someone else’s community.
Create a group and pick a plan
Trial Hobby if you’d keep $9/mo. Trial Pro if you need the lower fee or Pro-only tools. Don’t trial Pro “to see everything” if you’d never pay $99.
Set a cancel reminder
Skool authorizes the card in advance. If you do nothing, the subscription starts after day 14. Calendar the day before. Cancel steps.
What you get in the 14 days
The trial is the plan you picked — not a crippled demo. Unlimited members, courses, native video, live calls, and payments are on both Hobby and Pro. The differences that show up in the trial are the ones that persist: fee rate, and whatever Skool currently gates to Pro (check the in-app comparison).
- Hobby after trial: $9/month, 10% + 30¢ on member charges
- Pro after trial: $99/month, 2.9% + 30¢ (3.9% above $900)
- You can switch plans; confirm inside the account so you don’t assume a reset of the 14 days
Trial vs joining someone else’s Skool
This page is for owners starting a community. Members who join a paid group may see a separate member trial the group owner configured. That is not the 14-day owner trial and it does not start a $9/$99 Skool subscription for you.
Does Skool have a free plan?
No free owner plan. 14-day trial, then Hobby or Pro. Members can still join free communities.
Do I need a coupon?
No. Press Start free. The trial is the offer.
What if I already had a trial?
Skool historically limits owner trials. Don’t count on a second 14 days on the same account. Confirm in signup if the trial still appears.
Start the 14 days
Build the group. Invite a few people. Cancel in Billing if it isn’t a fit.
